When you live in a desert climate, there’s a price to pay for overwatering. That’s why the Southern Nevada Water Authority got NHL tough guy Ryan Reaves to remind residents that conserving water by changing their watering clock is really quite simple and painless. 

 

I helped come up with the overall concept and wrote all pieces of this integrated campaign. 

The most challenging part: filming during the 2020 quarantine. As the writer, I needed to make sure these scripts were so simple, that a professional hockey player in his garage—yes, we shot these in his actual garage—could produce them. I then got to direct Ryan and his performance completely via ZOOM during a one-day virtual shoot.   

Results

Decreased overall water usage across Southern Nevada by 6%.
